Elmhurst Museum Day

Celebrate the 24th Annual Museum Day in Elmhurst, a special event commemorating the important value cultural institutions bring to our communities. Walk, bike or jump on board the free Explore Elmhurst trolley to visit three Elmhurst sites for free admission, exhibits, family-friendly activities, tours, refreshments and more.

Free activities at each location include:
  • Elmhurst History Museum: Explore the Once Upon a Playground exhibit inside the Glos Mansion, design your dream playground, build with Imagination Playground foam blocks, and try out a Windy City Ninjas obstacle course (weather permitting, waivers required). Complimentary face painting, lemonade and cookies.
  • Elmhurst Art Museum: Experience the interactive exhibit, Par Excellence Redux, featuring a fully playable, artist-designed mini golf course inside the the museum's galleries.
  • Wilder Park Conservatory: Take home a piece of Wilder Park history! Explore the Conservatory and receive a complimentary seedling planted with acorns from historic oak trees throughout the park, while supplies last.
