Heritage Day at Churchville Schoolhouse & Fischer Farm

Celebrate fall with a day of family-friendly festivities at the historic Churchville Schoolhouse and Fischer Farm!


At Churchville Schoolhouse: Listen to the Conrad Fischer Singers sing songs from America's past, and learn to square dance with folk music by the Muddy Creek Band at the 1850s landmark Schoolhouse. Play old-fashioned games, take a lesson with the 1910 schoolmarm, make a thaumatrope, and enjoy refreshments (while supplies last). See the Elmhurst Fire Department's vintage fire truck.
At Fischer Farm: Take a free hayride to/from Fisher Farm for crafting demonstrations, WWI and Civil War reenactors, cannon firings and live country music by the Bourbon Aristocracy Bluegrass Band. A $6 wristband is required for kids 13 + under for select activities including: pony rides, petting zoo, pumpkin painting and more.

Jolly Old St. Nick Concert

Time: 6:30-8 p.m.  FREE!

Ring in the holiday season with our annual celebration of Elmhurst’s German roots. Elmhurst’s authentic German choirs, Damenchor and Männerchor, perform German carols. Jolly Old St. Nick will join the festivities to explain his legend and take photos with guests. Hot cocoa and sweet treats will be provided. Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas! Donations for the giving tree to support Yorkfield Food Pantry will be gratefully accepted. No registration required, all ages welcome.
