“We have a great lineup for our second summer of outdoor concerts here at the museum,” said Dave Oberg, EHM Executive Director. “Appealing to a wide range of musical preferences, we’re thrilled to include multiple performances in our schedule that will celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States this summer. The entire City of Elmhurst is dedicated to honoring not only our nation’s history, but our local history over the past 250 years as well.” In advance of the July 24 concert, featuring The Irving Sisters, guests will also enjoy a dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence.

In addition to the Fourth Fridays Concert Series, the EHM will also offer multiple performances tailored to little ones this summer. On Sunday July 12 from 1 – 4:30 p.m., music-lovers can enjoy Fearless, a dynamic Taylor Swift tribute band, at the EHM’s Fearless & Fun Summer Jam, held in partnership with Elmhurst City Centre. The Museum will also host Musician and Child Development Specialist Jim Gill for another energetic concert on Sunday, August 9 at 2 p.m. Guests are invited to clap, jump, dance, and sing along with Jim as children, parents, grandparents, and caregivers experience the joy of music play together!

All concerts at the Elmhurst History Museum are free to attend and do not require registration. Guests are invited to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets for seating, and coolers are welcome. Learn more about concerts at the museum at elmhursthistory.org.
